'cause it generates already video with audio where available so ... not sure if I should reply or just suggest you to try wine ;)

I know something is working, and I have written about it indeed!Andrea Giammarchihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16277820774810688474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34454975.post-65673167157117515352013-02-06T14:47:04.424+01:002013-02-06T14:47:04.424+01:00Hi Andrea

A few comments below.

>> In my proudly created spaghetti code I ended up with a Frankenstein monster

The code at http://www.simpl.info/gum is fairly straightforward, and it works in Chrome, Opera and Firefox. Audio is not supported in Opera, and only supported in Firefox Nightly/Aurora. (For Firefox stable, use {video:true} as the parameter to getUserMedia().)

>> AudioContext and AudioStream Is Nowhere

Do your mean means getUserMedia => Web Audio. This is working in Chrome, for example in http://www.webaudiodemos.appspot.com/input.

>> Because Microsoft recently scuttled ongoing standardization efforts with a surprisingly valid counterproposal I'm afraid.

I'm not aware of any Microsoft getUserMedia alternative. Microsoft has produced an 'alternative' WebRTC proposal, but I don't think this touches on gUM. (More commentary here: http://www.educatedguesswork.org/2012/08/initial_notes_on_microsofts_cu.html.)

Mobile support is planned for Chrome and Firefox.Sam Duttonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18120283553565824787noreply@blogger.com
